We accept PDF files and Adobe Creative Suite 6.0 or older (includes InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). We also accept Microsoft Office and Publisher documents but please create a "press ready" PDF file to supply with your docs. Microsoft documents will change fonts and readjust layouts when opened on other computers.
For Indesign documents please package your files, fonts, images, etc. Make sure to include 3mm bleed.
Sometimes we are able to edit PDF files but it's not always successful, so please ensure your document is correct before supplying.
Your final file size may be quite large. If your file is over 4MB it may be too big to email, zip your files and send them via internet transfer (WeTransfer.com is a free service for up to 100MB) or pop them on a usb drive to deliver.
"But it looks great on my screen". Web and print are two very different platforms. What you see on screen is not always a true representation of what it will look like in print.
To ensure clear, crisp, accurate printing we need an image that is at least 300 dpi. at the correct size. (correct size meaning the size you want the image to appear) Most often images taken from a web page are only 72 dpi which is great for viewing but not enough resolution for printing.
Business card - 90mm x 54mm
Envelope - DL: 220mm x 110mm, C5: 162mm x 229mm (fits A5 documents), C4: 229mm x 324mm (fits A4 documents)
Postcard - 105mm x 148mm (A5 - half of A4)
Printing requires high resolution files that can become quite large. Most email servers will only allow up to 5 megabytes to be sent. It's best to use internet transfer websites like WeTransfer.com (preferred), Dropbox.com or Hightail.com. These all allow FREE transfer of up to 100 megabytes and are easy to use.
Alternately you can pop your artwork onto a usb drive and bring it in to our office at 45-47 Keppel Street, Bathurst.
We provide free local delivery within Bathurst. Delivery costs for surrounding areas depend on the mode of transport (eg courier, Australia Post, delivery services) and the destination. Every job will be different. Please feel free to call and discuss your delivery needs.
Several reasons. #1 All monitors are calibrated differently, therefore, no two monitors will view the same. (After all isn’t there an adjustment on your monitor that you can brighten or darken at any time.) #2 You could be looking at the RGB version of the photo before it was converted to CMYK.
